Microbiology Group

We do not really know how many types of bacteria there are in the world. A good many kinds of bacteria do not grow well in a standard laboratory environment. This makes it challenging to find new kinds of bacteria.

The microbiology group for MAST hopes to discover news kinds of bacteria, along with discovering methods to find new kinds of bacteria.

Current Projects:

1. Discovery of new species of soil bacteria.
2. Discovery of new methods to find bacteria.
